Provide strategic leadership and technical assistance to governments and UNICEF Country Offices to expand safely managed sanitation services
Strengthen sanitation systems, institutions, governance, financing and service delivery, integrating climate-resilient approaches
Support the design and scaling of sanitation solutions, sector planning, institutional reform and digital innovation
Promote equitable access for children, women, persons with disabilities and communities affected by fragility and conflict
Lead advocacy, build partnerships, mobilize resources, generate evidence and support emergency preparedness and response
Act as Country Office focal point and provide technical support
Focus areas include sanitation system design at scale, planning and readiness assessment, digital solutions for quality improvement and equitable access

Master's degree or equivalent in engineering, natural or social sciences, public health, water resources management or related field (Bachelor's plus 2 additional years of relevant experience may be accepted)
Minimum 10 years of experience in WASH or closely related areas (financing, project management, consulting, technical assistance or research) with national or international organizations
Skills in planning, project management, teamwork, organization, interpersonal communication, strategic and global thinking and analysis
Fluency in English is required
Knowledge of another UN official language or local language is desirable
Experience with large-scale WASH projects in developing countries is desirable
Experience with WASH governance and system strengthening in urban and rural areas is desirable
Experience with high-level partnerships, advocacy and global/regional representation is desirable
Knowledge of the UN system and UNICEF programming; country-level experience in development, fragile and humanitarian contexts is desirable
