Join the Store team building and running backend services for the Snap Store and Charmhub marketplaces, mainly in Python with some Golang, scaling the production architecture and supporting IoT and large enterprise solutions.
Work remotely with a globally distributed team
Build web service APIs for CLI and web frontend clients, using Python (and optionally Go)
Take features from spec to production and ongoing operation at scale
Review code and technical designs from other engineers
Collaborate on finding good solutions
Travel for 2 to 4 weeks a year for internal and external events
Requirements
Demonstrated professional experience building public-facing APIs and web applications in Python
Broad technical skills, with a preference for backend code and infrastructure
Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including designing data models and tuning queries
Comfort using Ubuntu for development and deployment
Strong academic record in computer science, STEM or a similar field
Curiosity, flexibility, clear communication, accountability and self-motivation
