Build a 3-5 year operations strategy covering capacity, investment and capability
Translate sales forecasts into production, purchasing and stock plans with Sales and Finance
Improve efficiency, yield, milk conversion and waste using Lean and Kaizen
Lead purchasing of milk, ingredients and packaging and manage farmer and supplier relationships
Own food safety and quality, maintaining ISO 22000 and HACCP certification and regulatory compliance
Run planned maintenance and manage utilities such as boilers, refrigeration, water and power
Ensure on-time, in-full delivery to customers, distributors and own stores across East Africa
Lead a zero-harm safety culture and comply with workplace and environmental regulations
Deliver cost of goods, gross margin and operations budget targets
Build, coach and develop the leadership team with succession planning for key roles

Degree in Food Science/Technology, Dairy Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field; MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage
At least 10 years in operations, manufacturing or supply chain including 5+ years in senior management leading multiple functions
Food manufacturing experience, ideally in dairy or FMCG
Strong leadership with a record of measurable gains in cost, efficiency, quality and service
Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma, HACCP and ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000
Experience with budgets, investment business cases and ERP systems, plus strong Excel skills
Strategic, data-driven leader with high integrity
