Manage the full order-to-cash cycle including accurate invoicing based on contracts, purchase orders, delivery notes, milestones and approved variations
Collect debts, monitor debtors' ageing and meet monthly collection targets
Assess customer creditworthiness, recommend credit limits and payment terms and monitor exposure
Reconcile customer accounts and correctly allocate all receipts
Track retentions, advance payments, guarantees, contract variations and certified project values
Ensure compliance with Kenyan tax rules including VAT, eTIMS, withholding VAT, withholding tax and iTax
Prepare management reports on ageing, collections, DSO, cash flow and receivables
Deputise for the Head of Finance when needed and support month-end close, management accounts, budgeting and cash-flow forecasting
Supervise junior finance staff and maintain finance controls, policies and segregation of duties
Support internal and external audits by preparing reconciliations and schedules and following up on findings

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related field
Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax compliance (VAT, eTIMS, withholding VAT, withholding tax, iTax)
Experience across finance functions including month-end close, management accounts, cash-flow forecasting and statutory compliance
Strong ERP/accounting system skills and advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations, reporting)
Good understanding of IFRS 15 and IFRS 9
Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills
Experience in a project-based industry is an advantage
